Karen, thanks for sharing these insights, really interesting.

One thing I'm wondering is: should we consider the dimension of "target persona" in the whole analysis?

To be more precise: is it possible that it is better to have longer or shorter posts depending on the audience you have?

In the case of my newsletter in Substack, I started to have the feeling that my target persona prefers short and stick-to-the-point posts, rather than longer and debatable posts.

The last example was the issue I sent this week, which already got 9 likes (in my league that's a lot), directly to the second position of my TOP articles. This a very concrete bullet-points-based article. https://newsletter.optimistengineer.com/p/software-engineers-roadmap-to-leadership?r=nw9bj&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

My target readers are Software Engineers and alike.

By the way, I find it handy to have voice articles, because it helps me consume information while I'm doing other stuff.

Thanks for sharing that you find the voiceovers useful, Marcos! And you raise a good question about target persona and post length. Understanding our audience is key, and using your post reaction data for insights to help you tune your approach is smart. 😊
