Thank you for the tips, very interesting read. I don’t feel right charging people/restricting who can and can’t view my content based on if they have money to spare. I can barely afford to pay for anyone else’s content so it’s great to have conversations about it.
Yes, exactly, Claire! And since Substack/Stripe doesn’t support payments from all countries, paywalls block people in the countries they don’t support.
I didn’t either, at first, Claire. Then I saw a post from a writer in Africa asking Substack to support more countries. What’s weird is that apparently Stripe works in more countries than Substack Stripe does 🤷🏻♀️
